Meet Alastair Lamont
Hailing from South Africa, Alastair has spent his life exploring (preferably in his Series III Land Rover). He grew up seeking adventure in Namibia and all over the South African bush as well as Cape Town and Johannesburg. His professional life has allowed him to help build and launch a five star lodge in Tanzania before becoming the on-site master diver instructor. In South Africa, Alastair spent very happy years as a private guide and head ranger at a luxury Relais & Chateaux lodge in the Eastern Cape, and then as the manager and guide at a five star historical battlefields lodge in KwaZulu-Natal. His story-telling is second to none, and his top notch hospitality training only complements his naturally-caring nature and white glove expertise.
Alastair's true passion lies in connecting people to Africa. Since moving to the U.S. in 2018 to be with his wife Laura (whom he met in South Africa during her Peace Corps service there), he has enjoyed utilizing his vast network to create tailor-made safaris for distinguished travelers looking to explore, relax, or anything in between. Alastair puts the utmost care in designing trips so clients enjoy experiences and have "wow moments" beyond all expectations.
Alastair and Laura both come from well-traveled backgrounds with broad horizons, and they have chosen to settle in the Highlands-Cashiers area of North Carolina where Laura's family has rooted history. They love raising their two young children in the mountains, connecting with the community, and having the opportunity to send people on incredible, life-changing journeys to their beloved Africa.

"I never knew of a morning in Africa,
when I woke up and was not happy."
Ernest Hemingway
